drawchange - DIY

Updated: Aug 25, 2021

We are excited to announce a new project: drawchange DIY! Drawchange DIY is a weekly series of art projects designed to inspire resilience during the unique isolation period families are experiencing during the COVID-19 outbreak. Drawchange DIY projects are aimed at relieving stress in young minds and fostering dreams for the future.

Until we can resume our regular programming, we will post a weekly art therapy-based project that includes instructions, a therapeutic goal, and a suggested audio playlist. These projects require minimal supplies and cleanup! Everyone is welcome to use drawchange DIY- whether you are living in a homeless shelter or not! Get started here under drawchange DIY: drawchange.org/activities.

Participants are invited to post about their at-home experiences on social media using #drawchangeDIY so we can find it! Our DIY projects provide a unique opportunity for all members of our drawchange family, across the nation and world to participate and unify in hope, and to share their experiences with one another.

If your child is able to enjoy drawchange DIY from your own home, please consider making a donation towards our drawchange programs for children experiencing homelessness. Our programs are paused due to the COVID-19 outbreak, and we need to be prepared to rise to meet the needs of children in the aftermath of this extended period of isolation.

Our goal is to raise $40 per child for resources to further enrich the children. You have the unique opportunity to invest in their resilience.

We urge you to do so by donating today first to our facebook fundraiser: facebook.com/donate. If you are unable to donate on facebook, go directly to our website to donate at drawchange.org/donate.
