I have decided to donate my birthday to drawchange again this year since I have not done it in two or three years. I’m not sure how much I need to explain about drawchange because I feel like everyone on my newsfeed is very well aware of this organization that I created over 10 years ago. I’m deciding to donate my birthday because we are in need of funds.
This year I made the momentous decision to not have our 5K run/walk because it was no longer conducive to raising the amount of funds we needed compared to the amount of work that an event to that magnitude entailed.
This year we embarked on our on Art Camp fundraiser for our community's children. It is going really well and we are getting registrations, however, just like anything new, this year we may wind up barely breaking even if not losing money.
That is why I decided to have this fundraiser. If I can raise $1000 for the organization through the kindness of my friends and family on Facebook, it will greatly offset the costs of running this new fundraiser and it will mean that we MAKE money instead of lose it with Art Camp this year.
100% of the proceeds will be donated to the organization and not my pocket.
Thanks ever so much, friends. It takes a village and I am not able to serve the over 10,000 children that I have so far without my community.
