We are so very thankful for 10 years (almost 11) of empowering children in Cartago, Costa Rica! The neighborhood the children inhabit is built at the base of an active volcano, Irazu, where the children are confronted with discrimination based on culture and financial status. A partner sociologist of our program shares that our curriculum transformed their community from a mindset of despair to one of renewed hope. With our curriculum, they are given possibilities in their new country of residence and feel less isolated in their new surroundings. The drawchange blueprint has supported programs, like those in Cartago, around the world. We instill confidence and empower our children to envision their largest dreams!
